SAXEVILLE, WAUSHARA COUNTY, WISCONSIN
Meeting
held at Saxeville Town Hall
April
21, 2003
Notice
for the meeting was posted at the dump, both town halls, the Leon-Saxeville
Library, mailed to and published in the Waushara Argus and published on the
Town’s web site. Chairman Petersen called the meeting to order at 10:00 PM.
All officers were present.
The Clerk’s minutes from March 17, 2003 were
read. Motioned by Supervisor Hess, second by Supervisor Lind to approve the
Clerk’s report. Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried. The Treasurer’s
report for February 2003 was read. Motioned by Supervisor Hess, seconded by
Supervisor Lind to accept the Treasurer’s report as read. Voice vote, all in
favor, motion carried.
OLD
BUSINESS

Roads –
The Board will meet to inspect the roads again, now that the weather has
improved.

There
was no other old business.
NEW
BUSINESS
-
Land Divisions: Mark Hansen and Mark Dittman
were not present to discuss their land divisions.

The Clerk noted that in April the liquor
license renewals would be sent out.

Fire Contracts – The Clerk will contact Fire
Chief Marini for clarification on the amount requested as payment of escrow
funds toward the new truck.

Old Town Hall – Motioned by Supervisor Lind,
second by Supervisor Hess to have Chairman Petersen contact Attorney Dutcher
to obtain a deed of transfer for the old town hall to the Fire Department
for $0, with the first option of buy-back by the Town for $1.00 if the
Department should ever have no more use for the old hall. Voice vote, all
in favor, motion carried.

Clark’s Mill Street Lights – Motioned by
Supervisor Lind, second by Supervisor Hess to remove the street lights at
Clark’s Mill. Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried.

Part Time Employee Wage – Motioned by
Supervisor Hess, second by Supervisor Lind to raise the rate of part time
employees from $10.00 to $15.00, at the discretion of the Board. Voice
vote, all in favor, motion carried.

Snow Plow – A “Thank You” note from Glen
Erdman was read. He appreciated the opportunity to work for the town the
past year, and was looking forward to next year’s hire.

Clerk and Treasurer Bond – The Clerk was asked
to check with the WI Town’s Association and Rural Insurance about bonds for
elected officers.

Fire Works Permit – Motioned by Supervisor
Hess, second by Supervisor Lind to approve a fire works permit for Tom
Catlin. Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried. Chairman Petersen signed
the permit.

There was no other new business.
The
bills were presented for payment and the Clerk was instructed to pay them.
The next
meeting was set for Monday, May 19, 2003, 8 PM at the town hall.
Motioned
by Supervisor Hess, seconded by Supervisor Lind to adjourn the meeting at
11:00 PM. Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried.
