 UNFINISHED BUSINESS

1.      Roads – New street and stop signs will be placed as needed.  Supervisor Timm took care of storm-downed trees. Trees on Saxeville Road need trimming.  “Slow – Children” and speed signs will be put up on Aspen. Brushing and sand removal are needed at the Ding bridge. Wood pieces will be removed from South Long Lake Road. Before the end of November the Board will rate the roads for the paserware computer program. Twenty-six feet of fence was added to each side of the lake access to dissuade trespassing.  A flashing yellow light was purchased for emergency roadwork.

2.      Town Hall Rentals – the children’s theater group will use the hall on August 25 and 26.  Other rentals are for the Lake Kristine annual meeting, Michelle Cartwright, Kosaboskies, Schulkes and Kettelwells.

3.      There was no other unfinished business.

 NEW BUSINESS

1.      Blacksmith Shop Restoration Variance – Chairman Petersen read a letter of support from Terry and Ellen Eisch.  An in-favor petition with over 300 signatures is also available.  Motioned by Chairman Petersen, seconded by Supervisor Lind to support the blacksmith shop restoration project.  Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried.  Chairman Petersen will take a letter of such support to the Waushara County Board of Adjustments.

2.      Village Snow Plowing Contract – After discussion it was motioned by Supervisor Lind, seconded by Supervisor Timm to plow the village roads with the Town of truck.  Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried.  Brian Glatz will do that plowing and sanding.

3.      Margaret Stemper – Sunny Hill Road – no one appeared on behalf of this topic.

4.      Library Board Representatives – After discussion it was motioned by Supervisor Lind, seconded by Supervisor Timm to appoint Carol Schliepp as a trustee and Barbara Sobralske as the school representative to the Leon/Saxeville Library Board.  Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried.

5.      Tom Rusch Land Division – Mr Rusch was not present for this discussion.  The land lies on the corner of Cty Hwy E and TT.  Reportedly, the plan calls for two 15-acre lots and two 4.5-acre lots. The Board would need to approve a certified survey map.  Hansons are concerned about the corner lots and many driveways.

6.      Walters MFL Lands – Robert Walters had land in MFL, but is withdrawing from the plan. He will be responsible for back taxes, but no penalties will be assessed.

7.      There was no other new business.

The bills were presented for payment and the Clerk was instructed to pay them.

The next meeting was set for Monday, September 17, 8 PM at the town hall.

Motioned by Supervisor Timm, seconded by Supervisor Lind to adjourn the meeting at 8:50 PM. Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried.

Respectfully submitted,
Virginia Cartwright, Town Clerk
