TOWN OF SAXEVILLE, WAUSHARA COUNTY, WISCONSIN
Meeting held at Saxeville Town Hall
Regular Monthly Town Board Meeting – January 21, 2002
Notice for the meeting was posted at the dump and both town halls,
mailed to the Waushara Argus and published in the Waushara Argus. Chairman
Elwyn Christensen called the meeting to order at 8:10 PM. All officers
were present. Visitors were MM Kevin Heitpas, Yvonne Feavel, Tom Protheroe,
Len Brasch and John Blader.
Kris and Kevin Heitpas were present to give the current status of Sawdust
City Tavern. They received the bar back on foreclosure from the previous
land contract holder, Kathy Young. The place is run-down and Young has
removed all personal property. Heitpas’s have paid all the back taxes, are
keeping the utilities operational and are readying the property for sale
with the Eagen Agency at $119,900.
MM Bryan Fuhs did not attend the meeting.
Assessor Blader shared a letter from MM Fuhs with the Board. Fuhs wanted
two properties combined, which Blader did at the 2002 Board of Review. The
County Register of Deeds did not make the change, resulting in an omitted
tax bill for December 2002.
Tom Protheroe also wanted his properties on South Long Lake combined; the
adjustment will take place at the 2002 Board of Review.
Yvonne Feavel – Land Use Committee – Yvonne and Mark Schumacher have
reviewed the public comments from the hearings on 11/14/01 and 1/15/02.
Mrs. Feavel asked the Board for any concerns that might need addressing at
the January 30, 2002 Land Use Committee meeting. The Board spoke of the
many objections voiced at the last public meeting; not many people seem to
be in favor of the plan as a whole. The Board was reminded that this plan
is only a guideline following items that were suggested in the town-wide
survey.

signs need replacing. c. The parking lot on East Long Lake Road is

them.
The next meeting was set for Monday, February 18, 2002, 8 PM at the town
hall.
