Regular Monthly Town Board Meeting – July 18, 2005

Notice for the meeting was posted at the dump, the town hall, the Leon-Saxeville Library, mailed to and published in the Waushara Argus and published on the Town’s web site. Chairman Petersen called the meeting to order.  All officers were present. 

The minutes from the meeting on June 20, 2005 were read. Motioned by Supervisor Timm, seconded by Chairman Petersen to accept the minutes as read.  Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried.

The Treasurer’s report for June 2005 was read.  Motioned by Supervisor Timm, seconded by Supervisor Lind to accept the report as read.  Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

  1. Roads – The seal coat projects are finished. A stop sign is needed at 4th St and S Long Lake Rd.  The roads are basically in good shape now.
  2. Town Hall – The hall is being used as an area meal site.  It appears to be working well. Many residents are making use of the opportunity.
  3. There was no other old business.

 

NEW BUSINESS

  1. Library Board – Motioned by Chairman Petersen, seconded by Supervisor Lind to appoint Kathy Lind as a member of the Leon-Saxeville Library Board.  Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried.
  2. Land Division – Motioned by Supervisor Timm, seconded by Supervisor Lind to support the land division as proposed by Rebecca and Keith Loehrke.  Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried.
  3. Conditional Use Permit – for a travel trailer on the old Skrypek property.  Supervisor Timm opposed the permit.  The matter is an agenda item on the county level.
  4. Nancy Timm will be hired to clean the town hall as needed.
  5. There was no new business.

 

The bills were presented for payment and the Clerk was instructed to pay them.

The next meeting was set for Monday, August15, 2005, 8 PM at the town hall.

Motioned by Supervisor Lind, seconded by Supervisor Timm to adjourn the meeting at 9:10 pm. Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried.
