Saxeville Town Hall
Regular Monthly Town Board Meeting – June 21, 2004
Notice for the meeting was posted at the dump, both town halls, the
Leon-Saxeville Library, mailed to and published in the Waushara Argus
and published on the Town’s web site. Chairman Petersen called the
meeting to order. All officers were present. Visitors included Audrey
Christensen and Jason Timm.
Audrey Christensen approached the Board with a plan for a memorial for
Bud. Her family would like to place a stone or wooden structure in
front of the town hall for bulletin and notice postings for use by the
Town Board and the public. She will visit another meeting with some
plans.
The
minutes from the meeting on May 17, 2004 were read. Motioned by
Supervisor Lind, seconded by Supervisor Hess to accept the minutes as
read. Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried. The Treasurer’s report
for May 2004 was read. Motioned by Supervisor Hess, seconded by
Supervisor Lind to approve the report as read. Voice vote, all in
favor, motion carried.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS

Roads – a. There are several holes on the newly repaired 29th
Road. Scott Construction will check it out; it will be repaired with
cold mix. b. Chairman Petersen patched areas on Portage Road, Aspen,
Alp and Long Lake Roads. c. Supervisor Hess will check with the
Town’s liability insurance for a 16 year old to do the town hall
mowing at $10.00 per hour. d. The Board will investigate the purchase
of a trimmer for use at the town hall. e. Dick Jorgensen is
complaining about Glen Erdman’s machinery being on the town road. The
County is urging Erdman to clean up the road and pit areas. Chairman
Petersen’s call to Erdman resulted in a June 25-26 clean up date.

NEW BUSINESS

Operator’s Licenses – Motioned by Supervisor Hess, seconded by
Chairman Petersen to approve all beer, liquor and operator’s licenses
as applied for. Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried.

There was no other new business.
The bills were presented for payment. Motioned by Supervisor Hess,
seconded by Chairman Petersen to pay a portion of the Scott Construction
bill (per the Treasurer’s discretion) and all other bills as presented.
Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried.
The next meeting was set for Monday, July
19, 2004, 8 PM at the town hall.
Motioned by Supervisor Hess, seconded by
Chairman Petersen to adjourn the meeting at 9:20 PM. Voice vote, all in
favor, motion carried.
