Saxeville Town Hall
Regular Monthly Town Board Meeting – March 15, 2004
Notice for the meeting was posted at the dump, both town halls, the
Leon-Saxeville Library, mailed to and published in the Waushara Argus
and published on the Town’s web site. Chairman Petersen called the
meeting to order. All officers were present. Glenn Timm, Jason Timm and
John Blader were visitors.
Tate
Land Division – no one appeared at the meeting for this item.
Mr.
Blader – reported that there was about $1.5 million of new construction
in 2003 in the Town of Saxeville. Right now the assessment rate is 70 %
of equalized values. A reassessment will be needed in 2005.
The
minutes from the meeting on February 9, 2004 and the Treasurer’s report
for February 2004 were read. Motioned by Supervisor Hess, seconded by
Supervisor Lind to approve the reports as read. Voice vote, all in
favor, motion carried.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
-
Roads – the culvert on Clark’s Mill Road needs replacing due to water
damage. 29th St needs blacktop. Supervisors Hess and Lind
will attend the WI Asphalt Pavement Association Conference on March
25. Trees along the road by The Ding and George Wadell’s place need
trimming; perhaps the power company can be contacted.

NEW BUSINESS

UDC Inspection Program. Motioned by Supervisor Hess, second by
Chairman Petersen to turn over the Uniform Dwelling Code Inspections
to Waushara county. Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried. The
Board signed the form and will sent it in to the County.

Asphalt Pit – The Company plans to open a pit on County Highway A and
29th.

Dog Kennel License – Lisa Greuel needs a dog kennel license; it can be
applied for at the County level. The Board took no action.

Cemeteries – Glenn Timm will do mowing and upkeep at both cemeteries.

LOSA Program – The Board took no action to name a Town Board member as
annuitant for the program. Ray Fidler, executive Vice President and
general counsel for the program is the named annuitant.

There was no other new business.
The bills were presented for payment and the Clerk was instructed to pay
them.
The next meeting was set for Monday, April
19, 2004, 8 PM at the town hall.
Motioned by Supervisor Hess, seconded by
Supervisor Lind to adjourn the meeting at 9:40 PM. Voice vote, all in
favor, motion carried.
