TOWN OF
SAXEVILLE, WAUSHARA COUNTY, WISCONSIN
Meeting held
at Saxeville Town Hall
Regular Monthly Town Board Meeting – August 19, 2002
Notice for
the meeting was posted at the dump and both town halls, mailed to and published
in the Waushara Argus and published on the Town’s web site. Chairman Christensen
called the meeting to order at 8:00 pm. All officers were present. There were
no visitors.
The Clerk’s
report of the meeting minutes from July 15, 2002 was read. Motioned by
Supervisor Petersen, seconded by Supervisor Lind to approve the minutes. Voice
vote, all in favor, motion carried. The Treasurer’s report for July 2002 was
read. Motioned by Chairman Christensen, seconded by Supervisor Lind to approve
the report as read. Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried. Motion by
Supervisor Lind, second by Supervisor Petersen to move all financial accounts
for the Town of Saxeville from Baylake Bank to 1ST National Bank, Poy
Sippi. Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried.
OLD BUSINESS
-
Roads –
Overhanging trees on 30th Rd need attention. Several street and
fire signs have arrived and will be put up. Dick Washburn and Michelle
Cartwright will mow at the new town hall; Mr. Kettlewell will do the fall road
mowing.

Treasurer’s Computer – The new computer for the Treasurer was discussed.
Motion by Supervisor Petersen, second by Chairman Christensen to purchase a
computer for the government price of $1442.00. Voice vote, all in favor,
motion carried.
There
was no other old business.
NEW BUSINESS
-
MSI
Insurance Quote – The Board opted to decline an insurance quote from MSI. The
Clerk was asked to set up an appointment with the Rural Insurance agent for
the September meeting.

The
Primary election for Sept 10, 2002 was noted. The Clerk will hire five poll
workers for the day.

Saxeville/Springwater
Fire Department Loan – The loan for the fire department for $150,000 was
signed by the Board, per the May meeting minutes.

A letter
from the Highway Commissioner was read. He requests that for safety issues,
all brush in the immediate area of road signs be removed.
There
was no other new business.
The bills
were presented for payment and the Clerk was instructed to pay them.
The next
meeting was set for Monday, September 16, 2002, 8 PM at the town hall.
Motioned by
Chairman Christensen and seconded by Supervisor Petersen to adjourn the meeting
at 9:45 PM. Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried.
