Saxeville Town Hall
Regular Monthly Town Board Meeting - June 16, 2003
Notice for the meeting was posted at the dump, both town halls, the
Leon-Saxeville Library, mailed to and published in the Waushara Argus
and published on the Town’s web site. Chairman Petersen called the
meeting to order at 8:10 PM. All officers except Treasurer Seefelt were
present. Visitors included Jason Timm and Dan Biermeier (Scott
Construction).
The
Clerk and Treasurer’s reports from May 2003 were read and accepted.
OLD BUSINESS
1.
Roads - Scott Construction was the only company that submitted a
roadwork bid. Mr. Biermeier presented roadwork bids from Scott
Construction as follows:
$37,675.00 - Clark’s Mill Rd – base and full wedge,
shoulder, grading
$53,618.40 - Pine Hill Rd – wedge and seal coat
$7330.20 - East Long Lake Rd – maintenance from
CTY TT to N Long Lake Rd
$5023.45 - Spruce Dr and Pine Ln
$4316.00 - Aspen Ct – west to Town line
$8170.00 - Popple Crk Rd – slope, pave and
shoulder
$116,133.05 – Total
It was motioned by Supervisor Lind,
seconded by Supervisor Hess to accept the 2003 roadwork bid from Scott
Construction for $116,133.05. Voice vote, all in favor, motion
carried. The Board signed the roadwork contract with Scott
Construction. Mr. Bielmeier suggested payments of half following
completion of projects and half in November.
Tammy Mendoza purchased a culvert through
the Town of Saxeville from Waupaca County. Saxeville will pay the bill
and be reimbursed by Tammy.
The week of June 10, 2003 carried another
roadwork bid in the Argus, since the Argus had failed to run two
consecutive ads.
Brad Lind will do the town roads mowing.
He will supply a contract for the Board to sign.
2.
Loan Payment – It was motioned by Supervisor Lind, seconded by
Supervisor Hess to make an additional payment on the loan for the town
hall, by July 31, 2003. Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried.
3.
License Renewals 2003-2004 – It was motioned by Supervisor Hess,
seconded by Chairman Petersen to approve all licenses as applied for
2003-2004. Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried.
4.
Old Town Hall - no final paperwork has been received on the transfer of
ownership of the old hall to the Saxeville/Springwater Fire Department.
Supervisor Hess will check on the matter.
5.
Land Division – The Board approved a 100 ft land split, off the east
side of Darlene Schaefer’s property. The previously proposed split was
off the west side, which the County did not approve.
6.There was no other old business.
NEW BUSINESS
1.
2004 Assessor – Motioned by Chairman Petersen, seconded by Supervisor
Hess to approve the application of John Blader as assessor for the 2004
assessments for the Town of Saxeville. Voice vote, all in favor, motion
carried.
2.
There was no other new business.
The bills were presented for payment and the Clerk was instructed to pay
them.
The
next meeting was set for Monday, July 21, 2003, 8 PM at the town hall.
Motioned by Supervisor Hess, seconded by Supervisor Lind to adjourn the
meeting at 10:25 PM. Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried.
