Tom Simon, Rural Insurance Agent, presented the insurance coverage under the current plan, with some minor additions necessary.  All coverage is under one plan, excepting the tax collection bond and the worker’s compensation policy.

Tom Catlin and Len Brasch, Long Lake Association, spoke of the musky fish program on the lake.  The Association plans to write to the DNR to terminate the program, with completion of the action expected in spring of 2004.  The Town Board agreed to add the Town of Saxeville to the signatures on the resolution from the fishing clubs and Long Lake Association as a means of showing support for the termination of the project.

John VanAmerongen from the Saxeville/Springwater Volunteer Fire Department, told the Board about the Length of Service Program, a retirement plan intended to recruit and retain volunteer fire fighters. The guidelines come from the state. The budgeted amount from the Town of Saxeville for 2004 is $3,150.00.
