Saxeville Town Hall
Regular Monthly Town Board Meeting – July 19, 2004
Notice for the meeting was posted at the dump, both town halls, the
Leon-Saxeville Library, mailed to and published in the Waushara Argus
and published on the Town’s web site. Chairman Petersen called the
meeting to order. All officers were present. Visitors included Audrey
Christensen, MM Pat Enright, Clayton Peterson, Bob McIntyre, Edward
Smith and Kim Lulloff.
Motion By Supervisor Hess, second by Chairman Petersen to amend the
order of the meeting’s agenda to accommodate the visitors items of
concern. Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried.
Audrey Christensen presented a plan for the memorial sign for Bud. It
is to be a lighted outdoor enclosed letter board. A memorial plaque
would be attached. Audrey will supply a written plan to Chairman
Christensen. The Town will purchase the electricity for the board.
Bob
McIntyre inquired about splitting a property into two parcels. The item
will be put on the August agenda.
Mr.
Smith and Mr. Lulloff discussed building a stage for the town hall. It
would be portable, adaptable for several stage arrangements, and could
be stored in the garage. They will return to a future meeting with
further plans.
The
minutes from the meeting on June 21, 2004 were read. Motioned by
Supervisor Hess, seconded by Supervisor Lind to accept the minutes as
read. Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried. The Treasurer’s report
for June 2004 was read. Motioned by Supervisor Hess, seconded by
Supervisor Lind to approve the report as read. Voice vote, all in
favor, motion carried.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS

Roads – a. Supervisor Hess will do the lawn trimming at the town hall,
while Josh Rodencal has been approved to do the main mowing at the
hall. b. Supervisor Hess will inspect all town bridges and culverts
for needed work. c. The culvert on Archer, east of 28th
has been plugged several times by beavers. Board members spent much
time cleaning the culvert. The County will dig out the culvert when
they are in the area. d. New tires will be purchased for the town
truck. e. Glen Erdman has still not cleaned the machinery from the
road area near his home.

NEW BUSINESS
-
Nancy Tebo presented a painted picture of the old black smith shop in
Saxeville to the Board for hanging in the new hall. The Clerk will
send a note of thanks plus a copy of the 1998 Saxeville
Sesquicentennial times to Nancy.

There was no other new business.
The bills were presented for payment and the Clerk was instructed to pay
them.
The next meeting was set for Monday,
August 16, 2004, 8 PM at the town hall.
Motioned by Supervisor Hess, seconded by
Chairman Petersen to adjourn the meeting at 9:35 PM. Voice vote, all in
favor, motion carried.
