Regular Monthly Town Board Meeting – May 16, 2005

Notice for the meeting was posted at the dump, the town hall, the Leon-Saxeville Library, mailed to and published in the Waushara Argus and published on the Town’s web site. Chairman Petersen called the meeting to order.  All officers were present. 

The minutes from the meeting on April 18, 2005 were read and accepted.

The Treasurer’s report for April 2005 was read.  Motioned by Supervisor Timm, seconded by Supervisor Lind to accept the report as read.  Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried. The Treasurer was encouraged to keep on sending bills for delinquent personal property taxes.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

1. Roads – Roads are being repaired as necessary.  Signs for loose gravel have been installed.
2. Town Hall – There have been several rentals per month. There are proposals for its use as a DNR command center in an emergency, and for a meal site, on a trial basis.
3. WTA Meeting – Members of the Board were encouraged to attend the district meeting of the WI Towns Assoc in Wautoma on 5/26/05.
4. Driveway Variance – Tom and Marilyn Schettl applied for a variance for their driveway that was put on Cty Rd AE, instead of Apache.  Motioned by Supervisor Lind, seconded by Supervisor Timm to support the Schettl’s driveway placement.  Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried.
5. There was no other old business.

 

NEW BUSINESS

1. Correspondence – A letter of appreciation was received from Mrs Doyle for our participation in the Rustic Road picture project. 
2. There was no new business.

 

The bills were presented for payment and the Clerk was instructed to pay them.

The next meeting was set for Monday, June 20, 2005, 8 PM at the town hall.

Motioned by Chairman Petersen, seconded by Supervisor Timm to adjourn the meeting. Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried.
