TOWN OF SAXEVILLE, WAUSHARA
COUNTY, WISCONSIN
Annual Town Meeting Minutes – 4/17/2006
Notice for the meeting was
posted at the dump, the town hall, the Leon-Saxeville
Library, mailed to and published in the Waushara Argus and
posted on the Town’s website.
Chairman Petersen called the
meeting to order at 8:05 PM. All officers, except Clerk
Cartwright were present. The pledge of allegiance was
recited.
The Clerk’s report of the
minutes from April 18, 2005 was read was read by Treasurer
Seefelt. The amount of $10,968 that was mentioned as being
spent for cold mix on 29th Rd was questioned. It
is believed to be considerably higher. The number will be
corrected. Motioned by Mike Lind, seconded by Jason Timm to
accept the minutes as corrected. Voice vote, all in favor,
motion carried.
The Treasurer’s final tax
summary report and the yearly financial report for 2005 were
given. The amount of taxes retained by the Town was
$145,532.89. The reports were accepted as presented.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS

Fire Siren – Fire Chief
Tim Jenks will check into repairing the unit. It isn’t a
viable option. Weather radios are another option for
learning of severe weather. Currently the siren is
manually rung if necessary. Chief Jenks will have it
tested soon.

Land Use Planning – The
County submitted a grant to the state for funding. They
are still waiting for approval. The County planners
should hear the decision in May.

Road Work Completed in
2005 – Most of what was planned was completed.

There was no other
unfinished business.
NEW BUSINESS
-
Leon-Saxeville Library –
There was no report given, but the Library is operating
smoothly.

Fire Contracts for
2006-2007 (May 1 – April 30) – Saxeville-Springwater
$28,511.06 and PoySippi $10,666.74. The Board signed
the PoySippi Fire Department contract.

Road Work Scheduled for
2006 – That was to be discussed in the regular Town
Board meeting.

The next meeting was set
for Monday, April 16, 2007, 8:00 PM at the Town Hall.

There was no other new
business.
Motioned by Chairman Petersen,
seconded by Jason Timm to adjourn the meeting. Voice vote,
all in favor, motion carried.
