TOWN OF SAXEVILLE, WAUSHARA
COUNTY, WISCONSIN
Regular Monthly Town Board Meeting – January 16, 2006
Notice for the meeting was posted
at the dump, the town hall, the Leon-Saxeville Library,
published in the Waushara Argus and the Town’s web site. Kevin
Thiemer was a visitor. All officers except Treasurer Seefelt
were present. Chairman Petersen called the meeting to order at
8:10 PM.
The Clerk’s report of the meeting
minutes from December 19, 2005 was read. Motioned by Supervisor
Timm, seconded by Supervisor Lind to accept the minutes as
read. Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried.
The Treasurer’s report from
December 2005 was read and accepted.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
-
Roads – Brian Glatz is doing a
fine job with the snowplowing as needed. A reseal may be
needed at the corner of 29th and Akron; the plow
peeled off a lot of the road and gravel will need to be
replaced. The area near Pine Rd and Spruce Rd off of Cty W
is an undeveloped town road. Karen Buehler inquired of
Chairman Petersen concerning some brushing needed there.
She plans to have Bob Madison do that work.

Town Hall Rentals – Scott and
Janet Olson had a baptism event at the hall on Jan 15. The
check for Handy’s security deposit may be returned. Clyde
Wendtlandt has reserved the hall for Jan 29th and
Magdanz’s on April 2. No monies have been received from the
exercise class since October 2005.

Crossroads Café – Mr. Sloan is
not ready with the applications for wine, beer and
operators.

There was no other unfinished
business.
NEW BUSINESS
1.
Fire Department – A check for
$5000.00 from the Greater Milwaukee Foundation, a grant from the
Richard and Karen Bertrand Charitable Fund, was received by the
Town for the Saxeville-Springwater Fire Department. The money
will flow through the town books and be given directly to the
department. Chairman Petersen will send a note of thanks to the
Bertrands for their support of the fire department.

The Jan 26 WTA meeting at
Silvercryst was mentioned. All officers plan to attend.
3.
Chairman Petersen read a report
prepared by Gary Wisbroker about the water patrol on Long Lake.
Sixty-five hours of patrol were spent on the lake with 10
citations for violations: 3 – no life jackets, 2 – personal
water craft violations and 5 – miscellaneous. Gary will appear
at a future board meeting for further discussion.
4.
Waushara Co Parks Department is
preparing an updated plan for the county parks. There is
currently an undeveloped park in Wenzel’s subdivision on East
Long Lake Road. All plans should be submitted to Scott
Schumann. The Town has no park plan at this time.
5.
Zoning – a. The Zoning Board is
after Tammy Mendoza to finish the siding on her home on Cty Rd
M, b. Bob Tate, on 26th, has several items on his
property with no proper permits (travel trailer, semi, camper),
c. Dennis and Alice Prill bought the old school house near
Clark’s Mill. They plan to start a business, “Crock and Kettle”,
to be open May through October, d. Karl Ludtke from Ogdensburg,
built in Section 2 without a permit.
6.
The Board signed the PoySippi
Volunteer Fire Department Rescue Service contract for 2006.
7.
There was no new business.
The bills were presented for
payment and the Clerk was instructed to pay them.
The next meeting was set for
Monday, February 20, 2006, 8:00 PM at the Town Hall.
Motioned by Chairman Petersen,
seconded by Supervisor Timm to adjourn the meeting at 9:15 PM.
Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried.
