TOWN OF
SAXEVILLE, WAUSHARA COUNTY, WISCONSIN
Regular Monthly Town Board Meeting – 3/19/2007
Notice for the meeting was posted
at the dump, the town hall, the Leon-Saxeville Library,
published in the Waushara Argus and on the Town’s web site.
Kathy and Lynn Behm (Sawdust City Bar) and Pam Strey and Denise
Mott (Bay Lake Bank) were visitors. All officers were present.
Chairman Petersen called the meeting to order at 8:25 PM.
Pam Strey and Denise Mott
presented financial products and new programs for small
municipalities now available at Bay Lake Bank. Investments,
savings and checking can all be together in one account. The
interest rate is always 10 points higher than the going rate.
The Board will be invited to attend the Bank’s upcoming public
programs on fraud, identity theft, etc. The Bank would like to
renew a business relationship with the Town.
The Clerk’s report of the meeting
minutes from February 19, 2007 and the Treasurer’s report from
February 2007 were read and accepted.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
1.
Behm’s Sawdust City Bar Licenses –
All license applications are in order. The opening is planned
for April 15, 2007. Motioned by Supervisor Timm, seconded by
Supervisor Lind to approve all Sawdust City Bar licenses as
presented. Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried.
2.
Roads – Brian Glatz has been plowing
and sanding roads as needed. Some repairs were made to the
truck and tires. The new larger street signs will be put up as
they are ordered. Roads will be inspected before the Annual
Meeting to be able to give a 2007 roadwork plan.
3.
Town Hall Rentals – There are
several rentals scheduled for April and May: wedding shower,
school children play practice, anniversary parties and Long Lake
Association meetings. Thanks went to Aaron Bartel for fixing the
furnace in the garage.
4.
There was no other unfinished
business.
NEW BUSINESS
1.
Election 4/3/2007 – The Clerk has
readied items for the election. Five or six poll workers will
be hired.
2.
There was no other new business.
The bills were presented for
payment and the Clerk was instructed to pay them.
The next meeting was set for
Monday, April 16, 2007, following the Annual Meeting at the town
hall.
Motioned by Supervisor Timm,
seconded by Chairman Petersen to adjourn the meeting at 9:30
PM. Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried.
