Leah and Matt Hansen and Fran Penterman Sr. Chairman Petersen called
the meeting to order at 8:15 PM.
The Clerk’s report of the meeting

road care on either side of Cty M. Motioned by Supervisor Timm,

corrected. Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried. The
Treasurer’s report from January 2008 was read. Treasurer Seefelt

Supervisor Lind to support the land division of the Rusch property
as proposed. Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
1.
There was no direct report from the sheriff’s
department for this month. The sheriff had spoken with Chairman
Petersen about the water patrol on Long Lake. The sheriff plans to
present the matter to the county law enforcement committee.
2. Roads – The town will receive some TRIP monies for
work on Alp Rd that was last repaired in 1969. With one exception
there have been many compliments on the snowplowing work. Mr Harris
continues to complain about the quality of town plowing in his area;
he also plows his snow across the town road. Chairman Petersen
plans to personally do the plowing on Harris’ road.
3. Town Hall Rentals – There are upcoming rentals
scheduled by the fire department, Sue Petersen for a wedding shower,
Harriet Hansen for a summer event and the DNR as a regional training
center.
4. Saxeville/Springwater Fire Dept Chief reported that
part of the Town of Mt Morris is contracting with the SSFD. That
adjusts the dollar amount of our town’s contract down. Tim brought
a revised contract reflecting that change.
5. There was no other unfinished business.
NEW BUSINESS
1. Snowmobile ordinances – the sheriff questioned if the
town had current snowmobile ordinances. There appear to be no
ordinances, just a permission to use certain areas.
2. Harold Hansen constructed a wooden frame for the
large plat map, which can be attached to the wall. Thanks were
expressed for his work.
3. There was no other new business.
The bills were presented for payment
and the Clerk was instructed to pay them.
The next meeting was set for Monday,
March 17, 2008, 8 PM at the town hall.
Motioned by Supervisor Timm, seconded
by Supervisor Lind to adjourn the meeting at 9:10 PM. Voice vote,
all in favor, motion carried.
Respectfully submitted,
Virginia Cartwright, Town
