UNFINISHED BUSINESS
1. Waushara County Deputy – no report.
2. Roads – Chairman Petersen is working on the paperwork
for the TRIP program. A certified engineer will most likely need to
be retained to sign those papers. It could result in about $23,000
toward that accomplished roadwork. The truck sander is in need of
repair; the main gearbox could be set up. Spraying for gypsy moth
will take place this spring in the Saxeville area.
3. Town Hall Rentals – Currently, there are just church
rentals.
4. LOSA Program – Chairman Petersen noted the current
LOSA contract at $72,443.70.
5. The Chairman, Supervisors and Clerk plan to attend
the WI Towns Association District meeting. Supervisor Timm also
plans to take in “Dairy Industries – Meeting Environmental and
Community Needs”.
6. There was no other unfinished business.
NEW BUSINESS
1. Brush Pile – The Saxeville/Springwater Fire
Department agreed to burn the brush pile at a time of their
choosing, when there is total snow cover, perhaps mid February.
Motioned by Chairman Petersen, seconded by Supervisor Timm to sign a
hold harmless contract with the SSFD for the brush pile burn. Voice
vote, all in favor, motion carried.
2. Saxeville Community Church – Members of the church
thanked the board for allowing rent of the hall for their services.
The group wishes to start a food pantry for the area. The food
would be stored elsewhere and distributed from the hall once a
month, preferably on a Saturday, beginning in March or April.
Motioned by Supervisor Lind, seconded by Supervisor Timm to approve
the plan for a food pantry as proposed by the Saxeville Community
Church. Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried.
3. There was no other new business.
The bills were presented
for payment and the Clerk was instructed to pay them. The next
meeting was set for Monday, March 16, 2009, 8 PM at the town hall.
Motioned by Chairman Petersen, seconded by
Supervisor Timm to adjourn
the meeting at 8:45 PM. Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried.
Respectfully submitted,
