UNFINISHED BUSINESS

1.      Waushara County Deputy – no report.

2.      Roads – The roads are being plowed and sanded as needed.

3.      Town Hall Rentals – There are no new reservations.

4.      Countywide Assessment – The district WTA meeting in Ripon spoke of the new assessment system as proposed by the Department of Revenue.  The state has backed off on the issue right now, so the item will be addressed if it comes up at a later time.

NEW BUSINESS

1.      Dave Harris – Mr Harris was on the agenda, but excused himself because of a family committment and asked to be on the March agenda.

2.      Audrey Christensen spoke with Supervisor Purvis concerning a contingency plan for emergency situations at the town hall on election days.  The poll workers will put together a plan and present it to the Board at the March meeting.

3.      Mr Maloney, new County Supervisor for the area, spoke on some current county issues: veteran’s representative, jail fees, county fees, budget issues (health insurance).  He said the East Central Plan Commission is still willing to help with grants or maps needed for the land use project. He was happy to report that the juvenile crime rate has come down considerably.

4.      Leon-Saxeville Library – February 27 is the date for a “hoe-down” at the Library celebrating 50 years of the Library’s existence.

5.      Department of Aging – The Department inquired about the placement of a “mealsite” sign on the property.  It would certainly help identify the building as a mealsite, especially for any newcomers in the area.

The bills were presented for payment and the Clerk was instructed to pay them.  The next meeting was set for Monday, March 15, 2010 at the town hall. Motioned by Supervisor Purvis, seconded by Supervisor Lind to adjourn the meeting at 8:55 pm. Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried.

Respectfully submitted,

Virginia Cartwright, Town Clerk
