UNFINISHED BUSINESS
-
Waushara County Deputy – There was no report.
-
Roads – The County Highway
Department is in our area doing the fall mowing. The corner at 1st
St and S Long Lake Rd was fixed; it is much better for the school bus
travel now. That same general area will be surveyed yet
this fall to establish and document right-of-way stakes.
John Hatch thanked the Board for road washout repair near his driveway
and mailbox. There are several trees, overhanging roads,
which need cutting this fall. The Board will soon be
reevaluating the roads for the PASER Program. The Board
denied a request from some South Shore Drive residents for the Town to
take over that road.
-
Town Hall Rentals –
Reservations are: 9/24 –
Baby shower, 10/9 – Baby Shower, 10/23 – Birthday Party, and
12/18 – Christmas Party.
-
Public Comment – There was a complaint about the holes on 1st
St. It needs regrading, potholes filled and perhaps a new culvert. The
post and sign for “Ferrari Drive” (a private road) are missing; the
County will be asked to take care of that. Suzanne Ziemer, a volunteer
with the “Clean Water/Boats Program” at the public landing has
experienced some problems with inebriated boaters. It was
suggested she contact the Sheriff’s Department and the Long Lake
Association for handling specific rules on that lake.
-
There was no other old business.
NEW
BUSINESS
-
Domain Name – Tina Priestly submitted a quote to renew the domain name
for the Town. Motioned by Supervisor Purvis, seconded by
Supervisor Lind to renew the domain name for the
Town of Saxeville
website at $161.61 for nine years. Voice vote, all in
favor, motion carried.
-
Town Hall Garage –
Supervisor Purvis presented the need for various small tools to have on
hand in the garage. Motioned by Supervisor Lind, seconded
by Chairman Timm to inventory the need and then purchase needed tool
items, an extension ladder and hardware to have on hand at the town hall
garage. Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried.
-
There was no other new business.
The bills were presented for payment and the
Clerk was instructed to pay them. The next meeting was
set for Monday, October 18,
2010 at the town hall. Motioned by Supervisor Lind, seconded by
Supervisor Purvis to adjourn the meeting at
9:00 pm. Voice vote,
all in favor, motion carried.
Respectfully submitted,
Virginia Cartwright, Town Clerk
