UNFINISHED BUSINESS
  1. Waushara County Sheriff – No deputy was present.
  2. Roads – John Hatch, an elderly gentleman, reported that his driveway had washed out.  The Board will check on that.  Mr. Harris complained that his driveway hadn’t gotten plowed.  The Board explained that 2nd St and similar areas shouldn’t be plowed when the ground isn’t frozen. Plowing would tear up the road. Motioned by Supervisor Lind, seconded by Supervisor Lind to close Oak Street for the snowy, winter months; Vern Hess is instructed to close the road in December, 2011 at his discretion according to weather reports and reopen it in spring 2012 when the threats of heavy snowfall have passed. Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried. Stop signs were installed at 30th & Aspen, 30th & Alp and 29th & Alp.  Stop signs are needed at Archer & 31st and Aspen & 31st. A culvert was put in on 29th.
  3. Town Hall Rentals – December 11, Nancy Ebbs, 3:30-8pm for an anniversary party. The “quitters” group will not be using the hall at this time.  The Board also gave the “ok” for the request from Fire Dept Chief, Ed Schabor, for the First Responders refresher course to be held at the town hall.
  4. There was no other old business.

NEW BUSINESS

1.   Assessor’s Report – John Blader made available a final assessment report from the state assuring the Board that all assessment figures were in compliance at this time.

2.   Department of Aging – Motioned by Chairman Timm, seconded by Supervisor Hansen, to accept and sign the contract with the Dept of Aging to use the Town Hall as an area mealsite for 2012. Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried.   The Board signed the contract.

  1. Public Comment – There was a discussion about brushing at the dump; it is a costly, ongoing project that is the Town’s responsibility. Other town brushing, especially in the Long Lake Road area will probably be done this winter. The Board will try to find the best, economical company to hire.
  2. There was no other old business.

The bills were presented for payment. The Clerk was instructed to pay them. Motioned by Supervisor Hansen, seconded by Supervisor Lind to adjourn the meeting at 9:45 pm.  Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried.
