Anderson Tree Service was also called to help with the cleanup.  There are signs on N Long Lake Rd, E Long Lake Rd, 30th and Aspen and near Tom Christensen’s that are missing. Snow plowing was discussed; Chairman Timm will talk with Tom Dahlke about the county doing plowing.  Motioned by Supervisor Hansen, seconded by Supervisor Lind to accept the bid from Mathwig’s for the culvert work near Kasuboski’s for $2445.00. NEW BUSINESS

  1. Flag Pole – Motioned by Supervisor Hansen, seconded by Supervisor Lind to replace the damaged poles with one that would fly both the American and Wisconsin flags.  Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried.  The poles had been damaged in spring storms.
  2. MaryAnn and Rich Magee were present to seek some assistance in finding a remedy for drainage/culvert problem near their residence.  It has been a source of irritation since 1991.  The board will inspect the area and come up with a solution to help drain away the water.
  3. Suzanne Ziemer, Long Lake representative, was present to speak about he public accesses on the lake. She is thankful for the many volunteers who help manage the “Clean boats, clean water” program. Two of the entry points are not well marked.  The landowners next to the right-of-way areas are “creeping in”.  There are some septic tanks and boathouses, where the placement of such items is a zoning issue. Land “use charge” was discussed; who polices that? There are several problems in these access areas.
  4. Fire Chief – Ned Schabor reported that their budget is up for next year.  The fire department has between 120 and 140 calls per year.  About 75% of the calls are for rescue.
  5. There was no other new business.

The bills were presented for payment. The Clerk was instructed to pay them. Motioned by Supervisor Hansen, seconded by Supervisor Lind to adjourn the meeting at 9:45 pm.  Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried.
