Saxeville Town Hall
Regular Monthly Town Board Meeting – October 18, 2004
Notice for the meeting was posted
at the dump, the town hall, the Leon-Saxeville Library, mailed
to and published in the Waushara Argus and published on the
Town’s web site. Chairman Petersen called the meeting to order.
All officers were present. Visitors included Tom Marini, Tim
Jenks, MM Harold Hanson and Brenda Brasch.
The minutes from the meeting on
September 20, 2004 were read. Motioned by Supervisor Hess,
seconded by Chairman Peterson to accept the minutes as read.
Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried.
The Treasurer’s report for
September 2004 was read. Motioned by Supervisor Hess, seconded
by Chairman Peterson to accept the report as read. Voice vote,
all in favor, motion carried.
The Board discussed and approved
the land division for Isabel Millard on Co Hwy A & AE. The
recommendation will be sent to the county zoning committee.
MM Harold Hansen presented a
petition to the Board requesting that the Saxeville-Springwater
Fire Department instead of the PoySippi Department be called for
any fires in that area, because of the shorter distance and time
involved. Fire Chiefs Tom Marini and Tim Jenks agreed that both
Saxeville and PoySippi would be called for any fire protection
in that vicinity. The dispatch list will be changed at the
County office.
Brenda Brasch – Discussed a land
division on 30th Rd and Cty Hwy A. Brenda wishes to
make three parcels out of one, then sell two and keep one. The
driveway would be put in a different place. Chairman Peterson
suggested Brenda talk with the neighbors and get their approval
of the plan. The matter will be on the November agenda.
MM Thomas Pias – Chairman Peterson
read a proposal supporting a land variance for a driveway on 26th
Rd and Cty TT. Motion by Supervisor Hess, seconded by
Supervisor Lind to accept the variance as it was being presented
to the County. Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried. The
Board signed the proposal.
UNFINISHED
BUSINESS

Roads – Scott Construction is
all paid for the summer work. The second round of road
mowing is not complete yet. The dip in the road near the
Ding has been repaired. Some road shouldering needs to be
done yet this fall. Several trees are marked for removal.

County Land Use Committee –
Motioned by Supervisor Hess, seconded by Supervisor Lind
that Chairman Peterson and Len Brasch serve as a
representative and an alternate for the County Land Use
Committee for a four-year term. Voice vote, all in favor,
motion carried.

The County Zoning Committee is
still after Lyle Dorn to remove junk cars and car parts from
the garage area in Saxeville. Mr Dorn does not have a
salvage yard permit. Zoning is allowing some more time for
the clean up.

Clayton Peterson has finished
the Bud Christensen memorial signboard for the town hall.
The Board will hire an electrician to install electricity
for the sign. Cards of thanks will be sent to Clayton
Peterson and Gary Miner for their work on the memorial.

Northeast Asphalt plans to
donate several trees for the town hall as a thank-you gift
for trailer parking at the hall.

business.
NEW BUSINESS
-
Election – The election is all
set for November 2, 2004. Five poll workers will be hired.
A high voter turnout is expected.

The Board was asked about
using the town hall as a Senior Center for meal
distribution. The Board will consider the request.

The Board assembled the 2005
budget items.

There was no other new
business.
The bills were presented for payment and the Clerk was
instructed to pay them.
The next meeting was set for
Monday, November 15, 2004, 8 PM at the town hall.

seconded by Supervisor Hess to adjourn the meeting at 11:00 PM.
Voice vote, all in favor, motion carried.
